We have full slide so we left about 6 inches of carpet on the big slide side, but we doubled it over and stapled in down so the slide climbs on the carpet strip to raise itself up before sliding on the Allure. It cost me about $650 for the material. I removed the old carpet and put in the required sub floor and had a retired carpet layer help me replace the floor for $500. I had a bid on the same job from a RV shop who has a great reputation which came in about $3000. So far so good. We put Allure in our house and after 1 year it all has to come out. It shrinks. Seams opened up. Never again.
