Replacing plastic squeeze latches on Onan service door

I'm trying to remove one of the plastic latches on the Onan service door you squeeze the two of them together to lower the door and unable to get it off. One fell off and lost so going to order 2 new...

My very thoughts. But if the old one has to be broken to get off what will it take to get the new ones on? Got to be a trick here somehow.
