I went to Camping World and pickup up a new seal. I installed it this morning. I have had the fantastic van running full speed since then with no windows open....basically just taunting the sewer gases. :)
So far there has been no odor, and both of my holding tanks are full. I'm going to take her for a spin later today which will be the true test, but as of now I seemed to have fixed the problem!
It was compressed. It wasn't torn, however, the toilet wasn't lined up exactly right so it was compressed in an uneven way.
One thing to mention to anyone else trying to do this for the first time: It is far easier if you install the new seal directly on the toilet rather than putting it on the flange and trying to set the toilet down on top of it. :)
