About six years ago the gaskets were leaking on our 96 Southwind.
They were not torn or damaged.
I took it to a glass shop recommended by a local RV dealer.
They removed both windshields, cleaned, resealed and reinstalled them using the original gasket.
The techs told me that not enough sealant was used when the windshields were installed at the factory.
They have not leaked or given me problems, I still have the Southwind.
Like I said, it was six years ago. (maybe seven)
They charged me $300.00.
The labor charge for your HR sounds about right. I can't comment on the gasket since they reused my original one.
I would check around, call some auto glass shops, etc..
Maybe you can get a better price on the gasket.
Hope this helps.
