- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IICertainly not a new question, but why should that prevent someone from asking?
I am sorry to say that my lengthy response did not post and I am too tired to try again.
Good information will be along shortly. - gatorcqExplorerMy question, is why no preform a search in the forums. I remember reading the same topic at least 3 times in different post.
- OasisbobExplorerThis seems to be a new trend that interests me. What sized & model is your fridge? Do you know the power consumption rate?
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IINo one can answer that question without knowing how you like to camp. If you move from 1 RV park to the next then you don't need a dang thing! Those batteries and the coach alternator will keep your batteries, inverter and fridge happy for as long as you are able to drive. If you plan to dry camp extensively then you might need to add some batteries and either solar or ensure your generator will have the fuel it needs to fire up a couple of times per day for a couple of hours.
- Ranger_SmithExplorerOurs has 6 with a 2800 watt inverter
- 2oldmanExplorer III'd prefer 4. Maybe be something in here:
household refer and inverter2009
Household refer Class A 2009
residential fridge- boondocking 09
Residential refer Class A 2010
Norcold w resi, class a 2014
resi Feb 2016 - DSDP_DonExplorerYou can do it with two, but personally I think you should have four minimum. Coaches are changing. Most All Electric coaches use six to eight batteries. When many of us were adding the Samsung residential refer a few years ago, most did well on four batteries, since the coaches were not technically all electric (propane water heaters and stoves).
You also have to consider what type of camping you'll be doing, generator availability and do you like to do things like watch TV in the evenings when dry camping.
