I have been looking for a cheap class A for a couple of years, all the ones I saw had a large amount of wood and or body damage. This model has mostly Aluminum body damage and framing. The 454 Chevy is a solid motor, and easy to find parts for. The flooring and walls seem to have no signs of water damage.
I saw this on sitting in the storage area with a sign for 5 grand. It started and had some light ticking noise. when I pulled of the dog house I saw some cracked vacuum lines and some lines just plugged with gulf tees indicating some one had just plugged them to get the thing running. The air injector piping was the cause of the ticking, after I gave him 4 grand cash I went back and used vice grips to plug the line and the ticking stopped. I then got the story that the lady had died in it, the family just wanted to get rid of it. I want back twice and then drove it the six miles home.
On the drive home I found out that it had one caliper not working. and all most could not stop. oooo well I made it home alive, and the story of the pictures starts about right there. I never told my wife of 26 years I was buying it. To say She was less then happy when she came home fro work is a mild understatement. She seem to be calmed down at this point and is patiently waiting for the ""yard art"" to become a useful item.
The ones I see like this on line go for around 10 to 15 grand so I have some wiggle room before I am under water. Don't think i will ever sell it ass I have a few other cars I have had for around ten to fifteen years that I still keep fixing as ""yard art""
