The blocking is thinner then i Thought is was. I am using number ten stainless steel metal screws with a hex head to replace the old number 8 size metal screws. I drilled a pilot hole so the screw would be where I wanted on all the holes where I need to replace broken screws. I filled the holes and hopefully some between the blocking ,and the roof with Sikaflex 505uv. I also put a little on top of the heads to aid in sealing after the screws were tightened down.
This is the rear passanger side side wall mount. It is one of the only ones that can still use number 8 screws, This picture is how it was left after I fixed it during the cold rain to keep things from leaking.
