Just read through this thread. I have a 1987 Class A on the P30 chassis; I'm doing a fairly complete renovation on it as well. It was interesting to me as you were first working on the engine to see several differences on the chassis. Your charging system uses an external voltage regulator where mine is part of the alternator. I couldn't tell for sure, but the PS pump looks to be different. It was just a little surprising to see component differences on a fleet chassis in just one year.
I'm wondering if you have had the chance to do any more work to your Holiday Rambler, or have had the opportunity to go camping.
I just pulled all the components of the AIR smog system and the miles of associated vacuum lines off when I put a new Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake and a new quadrajet. I had an aluminum roof that was in much worse shape than yours; that was my first big fix before gutting the inside down to the studs.
I have to work on it as I can as well.
