Here what my Onan HDKAJ service manual says:
RESTORING FAULT CODE BLINKING
The fault code stops blinking after five minutes. Prior to Spec F, one touch to stop restores fault code blinking. Beginning Spec F, 3 touches to Stop are required (also earlier Spec gensets with new replacement controller-inverter assemblies).
NOTE: The last fault logged will blink even though the condition that caused the shutdown may have been corrected.
