Right now the storm is predicted to come up the West side of Florida, well out in to the Gulf of Mexico. We should get plenty of rain, which is not too different than what we have been getting for the past month. From past experience a storm like this, being on the East side, will deliver rainfall amount in the 3-4" of rain per hour, which is about equal to a typical Summer storm. Rainfall amounts in Florida can reach 10+" of rain in an hour and still not have any flooding problems unless it is for an extended period of time. We recently had some flooding in the low lying areas because of almost continuous rain in some parts for several days.
