Right rear sag

Hello all. I’m restoring a 96 fleet wood with a f53 chassis. The right rear is around an inch or two lower than the left on level surface. Should I change the leaf springs? Or can sumo springs help?
  • A GOOD Spring/Alignment shop will either "re-arc" the existing leaf Spring or add a leaf spring to level the motorhome. NEVER use air bags or such to correct this type level problem. We have had this done numerous times on both NEW and USED Motorhomes for the past 40 years, when they have 1 side or even the complete rear is too low. Doug

    Boogie,

Were I you, and fortunately so because I departed the east coast megopolis decades ago, I would first get the coach weighed, then I would find a truck spring shop and see about getting those springs either re-arched or repaired if leaves are broken. I have had to do this for more than a few trucks or trailers.

I've changed out multiple springs on trucks. Is it usually the same process? And are there heavier duty springs manufactured?

Agree with Matt. Fix it , don't patch
  • Good advice above. First fill fuel, water and normal cargo then weigh.
