My wife and I almost stayed there several years ago (we visit that RV Park every year since 2010 when driving on the California side of the road). We chose to go to Lake Havasu City, AZ. and stay there. There's just more to do in LHC during the winter. The park is very nice right on the Colorado River. Your satellite will work just fine there. We liked the south end of the park best right on the beach. At times, not always you will get a little noise from the jet boats on the river during the day and some noise from the wild Burros at night. Lots of coyotes that are very aggressive all thru that area so if you have a small dog or cat keep a close eye on them. There are 2 golf courses on the California side just up the road from you one of them is called Jack Ass Flats and I can't remember the name of the other one. The Dam closes at 11 PM at night so if your going to or from LHC after 11 PM you have to cross the bridge from Parker, AZ. into Earp, CA. (the town of Earp just has a Post Office, it was named after Wyatt Earp the Lawman, because he did a lot of prospecting in that area) then head North to your RV Park. Also just down the road in Parker, AZ. there's a Walmart, Safeway, gas stations, fast food places, casino and a hospital! Police (San Bernadino County) and fire dept. are on the California side just down from the dam. If that RV Park doesn't work out for you then I suggest you stay at the Beachcomber RV Resort out on the Island in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Canadians take that place over during the winter. Have Fun
