Road to travel

Has anyone taken the Coho ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles and then down to Centralia Washington. Wondering which way we should go us 101 following the Hood Canal to the I-_5 interstate at Olympia to by pass Seattle. We would be going on Jan 25. We now live on the Island .

    I've only ever crossed at Blaine once and the traffic south through SeaTac was horrendous. 101 to Olympia Mon-Fri looks like it would be a great option, seeing as your starting point is PA.

    That is an excellent route to get from Port Angeles to I5, much of 101 runs along Hood Canal, and is a beautiful relaxing drive.

    Check the weather, 50+ miles of 101 along Hood Canal has been closed for many days recently from snow depth and fallen trees. It's been a difficult weather year.

    Thank you so much it does look like a nice scenic way to go. I did see it was closed last week but has reopened. We hate going through the city. Maybe if we do not get any more snow it will be a good way.

    Be sure to stop at Hama Hama Oysters for their oysters on 101. I've planted 7,500 oysters on my own beach in the last 5 years, but I love to visit with them for their wisdom. . . and a few of their BBQ'd oysters. They are great people.
