If the outlets are electrical, trace it back to the power source with multi meter.
If you are referring to the cable jacks, one should be for antenna and the other for cable input, and the last for satellite. If you are on the antenna you will need a newer TV with digital tuner to get a signal and then program the tuner for your local stations. Not sure what is required for satellite....never use it. Cable works fine...just search out the cable signals and program the tuner for them.
