In 2004 Roadtreks came with a converter and some came with a separate inverter for the TV. It sounds like this RT the inverter where the wire you traced down terminated and was removed. Somewhere in that vicinity - if this is so - there should be a 12 volt source down there that powered the inverter. After 2005 RT switched to the Three in One Tripp-Lite inverter/converter/charger that came standard.
