Thanks for all the info. I agree with the general consensus that there was an inverter that has been removed. In addition to the powerstrip that ends near the breaker, there are a couple of other wires that are loosely hanging out in there that are not connected to anything.
Good advice on the 12V native TV, but in addition to the TV, we would like to drive a DVD player, a small coffee maker, and be able to charge a few electronic devices. I have let my father-in-law know all this stuff, and he has contacted the dealer to see what the price is.
This RT also doesn't have a generator, and in my opinion, that would be the first priority. We have been out camping in it for the last few days, and a generator would have been a nice addition. But, it is his money, so we shall see ;)
