Thanks for the replies! I do believe it is as you say & just the f/g pan that flexes a bit. The 'spongy' description was maybe just my feeling, perhaps i should of said it had some give to it.
Anyway, my wife & i like this unit, so i think we're going to get serious & have it checked out. The owner just had a lot of things fixed on it that, singularly aren't much, but together adds up to quite a bit! So that's a bonus. I'll let y'all know if we get it. Thanks, Gary
