I drilled out the pop rivets and took it in the shop. I had purchased 3/16 aluminum pop rivets to reinstall but after checking my options I decided to go with 3/16 inch stove bolts. I installed the hinge to the door and then took it out to the RT and held and propped it up and inserted a few scattered bolts to hold position then drilled all the holes and inserted the rest of the bolts up thru. I also used a small flat strip of sealant gasket before installing the hinge. By using the bolts I was able to tighten them gradually and squeeze the gasket tight. No regrets, I would do it the same way again.
Was there enough room for the head of the bolts, or did you have to do something with them? Also, i assume that you did every second hole? I'm thinking that it's like a piano hinge, or is it different?
