I have a 1996 190 Popular and it has a plastic channel screwed into the headliner and I don't know what is behind it to screw into. The plastic channel clips are fastened to the curtain which slide on the channel. I have seen some units with the Velcro tabs stuck on the headliner and also on the curtain, but then the curtain is removed not slid to the side when open. Velcro may be the way to go if you don't want to drill holes and risk damaging the unit or messing it up.
