Roanoke Camping World & New Winnobago Issues

I Purchased at Camping World, Roanoke, VA a New Winnobago 30T late April 2015. During trip from VA to WA State & back I had the following problems: Floor had imperfections & awning would not extend/retract properly. C.World aware & promised to fix upon my return. Missing insulation between engine & cab. Repaired in Little Rock, AK. Had trouble retracting two of 3 slideouts. Bathroom LED failed, then four more failed before getting back home. Spokane, WA, had to hire electrician to get one slideout to retract. Auto levelers failed to extend properly. Very difficult to see dash liters during bright sunshine. Slideouts rattle so can't talk. I Cancelled 3 weeks of vac & returned to Roanoke C.World for warranty repairs. C.World manager promised with handshake to "Take care of me" & get me on road soon. Gave me impression I could exchange mine for a 2016 Vista 27LX. They kept mine from Aug 20 to Jan 18, 2016 trying to get everything repaired. I checked on it weekly & they had continued issues getting the repairs done. Kevin Thomas, manager of Roanoke camping World offered me $88K for my $132K Vista with no discount on 27LX Vista! NOT AN EXCHANGE! Feb 2016, took "repaired" Vista to Florida. Wipers failed & I spent 1 week of Vac getting them fixed. I wrote head of Winnobago & Camping World and received no written response! Contacted better business bureaus & Richmond VA customer bureau concerning both camping world & Winnobago & they have no enforcement powers. I'm left with paying for my motor home but unable to use it for six months with no compensation. C.World would not furnish me with replacement RV. VA lemon law specifically excludes the "living quarters" of a motor home. Since I was refused an "exchange MH" as initially promised, I asked for a full refund of my 30T Winnobago purchase which they also refused. I am 71, have type 2 diabetes, retired with limited resources--most retired money invested in the New SUPPOSEDLY RELIABLE WINNEBAGO! I checked, but can't afford lawyer. Suggestions?
  • I agree - work with Winnebago.

Of the issues that were fixed - sounds like you haven't had 2nd problems?

These machines are complex. What you're going through isn't unusual (unfortunately). CW isn't a highly recommended place for repairs.
  • Lived in Roanoke for many years and tried the CW store there once to get a new manual awning installed on a motorhome. Pretty simple thing but they absolutely were incompetent in every respect. Others in area had same experience.

Sorry for your issues but all the manufacturers have quality issues since they are more interested in getting them out the door than getting them right. I would not go near CW but would plan to take the coach to the Winnebago factory to get things fixed.

New member, first post, issues started a year ago but just now decides to create an account and blast Winnie and CW. Curious to see how this one goes. Smells like a troll. Maybe not, but these posts occur on here about once a month and nothing ever happens with them.
