roof air failures
In just the last 3 months 7 of my friends have their roof air units fail. 4 of the RV's were new. Has there been a design change? Have any of you seen a similar situation? Seems weird to me.

There is something bad going on!! We are wintering in FL. Just today 2 of my neighbors had their AC units fail. There were 2 different service trucks here at the than the same time. I think this could result in more failures than the refrig. problems. These failures are in addition to the ones in my pervious post, and just the ones I know about.

Donfromp, In answer to your questions, Both AC's were Dometic. One of the RV;s, a park model was purchased 2 or 3 weeks ago. The second RV, a travel trailer, was purchased 2 months ago.

When I replaced the fan I found two of the three isolator mounting screws were missing . Needless to say I removed the screws from the other 2 a/c units and put locktight on them. Entegra sent me three fans when one cracked so I replaced all three
Some of the Coleman Mach units were using plastic fans and they crack and throw the parts inside the cover itself taking out the whole unit with them...While Entegra Coach has been plagued with these, they do have a revised fan available....
