Roof Caulk Question

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Pace Arrow. The caulk on the roof looks to be in good shape but there appears to be silicone caulk around the edges where the roof meets the sides with a trim piece and that is no longer 'sticking' to the roof. Does anyone know is that just a matter of pulling the old silicone caulk off, clean the area then re-apply? I have no leaks (that I can find) but those edges concern me.

    DO NOT RE CAULK WITH SILICON OR YOU WILL DO IT EVERY YEAR

    Examining the roof and seams is something that should be done at least once a year if not twice. I'm a little OCD so admittedly I was on my roof about every month. ;)

    FYI. What you have may not be silicone. Dicor makes a Non-sag sealant for vertical applications. Either way clean it well before new application.

    Just make sure you clean the silicon off, nothing sticks to silicon, including silicon. And what they said!

    I would say basically you are correct. However its not just the average sealer used. For the roof I have used the dicor self leveling product. For the side application I use Sikaflex Sealant for RVs, its a great product.
