Roof Leaks

For anyone with a Winnebago with a fiberglass roof check the chaulking at the drip rail where the roof meets. On my 2013 Itasca 26he there was a seam open almost all the way down both sides of the roof allowing moisture to leak into the sidewalls. Hopefully I caught the problem in time. I cleaned up the seam with alcohol and reapplied new silicone chaulking. Something to watch for on The Winnebago roofs!

I'd check to see what material winnebago recommends and rip out the silicone and replace it.

People look at me like I'm crazy when I say the first thing to do is inspect everything on the roof and sides. They say, but it's new:)

Every winnebago i have owned I put 2 inch eternabond tape there and no more ussues ever

Please check-- not aware that Winnebago recommends silicone caulk.

But, yes, this is part of routine maintenance on Winnebago roofs.
