Roof Vent

Considering installing a manual open no fan roof vent in our 2002 Dodge Ram Van. Attached hopefully is the photo of the van roof and you can see a square area that I am hoping is designed to accommodate such a vent. Has anyone ever installed one like this or similar? Is it something DIY or must it be done at a rv type shop?

Just a side note:
Do yourself a big favor and put in a 'roof vent cover' at the same time. That will allow you to leave the roof vent open all the time rain or shine. They cost around 20 bucks. You will regret it if you don't! :W



And IMHO when cutting into a roof? I would take it to a dealership and have them install it. Just saying.
