Rooftop AC Weird???

I believe that when you have the generator running, the house plug does not supply any power to your coach. It is an either/or with the generator taking preference.

Are there other things or outlets not working whenon generator?
Do you have a transfer switch that activates when you’re on generator?
Is your generator pre-wired or do you have to plug the shore cable in to the generator?

It is pre wired. I do not know of an activation switch. There was an outlet or two not working, it is NOT charging the house batteries.

Again, one unit operates on generator or plug in and one unit only on plug in All circuit breakers appear ok.

Sound like you only have a 30 amp Generator. Post your model # of generator.

On an 5.5 HGJAB. 50 AMP

Sounds like you have an Energy Management system by Intelletec.
Or there is a switch somewhere you can not find

here is how it works
The Auto Transfer switch has two transfer sections. The Generator has two circuit breakers (30 and 20) (usually may be 30/30 but then ,,,, )

You did say you had a 50 amp rig (Generator likely 30/30)

The intelletec EMS only lets one A/C run at a time unless it either gets teh Generator signal (Turns 'em both on) or sees voltage (240) L-1 to L-2 (If you plug into 20 or 30 amps using an adapter the l-1/l-2 voltage difference is, ideally, zero, in practice not much)

There may be a "Front/rear/both" switch somewhere (Both only works on Generator or 50 amps)

1-there should be two circuit breakers on the genny. make sure one of them has not tripped.

2-if your coach has 59-amp service and you plug into a 30-amp source AND your coach DOES NOT have an energy management system it is likely that only one AC will run.

3-plug into a 50-amp source and tell us what happens.

2009 model. Do you have a 30 amp shore cord or a 50 amp shore cord. Once you answer, I can give you a specific answer. Doug
