Last year on a TV show "Shipping Wars" one of the transporters had converted his truck to run on veggie oil. He spent several hours going from restaurant to restaurant trying to come up with enough oil to continue on his transport trip.
Even just for recreation, My time is way to valuable to have to search for a fuel source. I would much rather pay $4.05 per gallon and buy diesel at a convenient station and be on my way in 15 minutes.
