Running lights

First order of business, is for checking the voltage at the socket and if nothing there, then hang a small piece of wire over the side with one end on the chassis battery negative and the other, on one of the voltmeter leads. If you have it then, there's an open in the ground somewhere and maybe just from corroded and/or dirty connections.
Cleaning up the socket with emery cloth helps and of course if not paying attention, all the bulbs could have burned out over time.
Still no cigar, then the pos. wire is open somewhere and whether due to a blown fuse or other.
When checking fuses and we're talking chassis panel here, check them all and don't rely on the logo.
