Rust-O-lium "Never Rust"

On a recent trip in the RV I noticed I had a leak in the front cap. Because of time constraints, as well as a "No fix RV's policy at the park" I decieded to wait until I got home to make a permant(?) repair, but it was bad enough that water was getting in when it rained. I went to a Lowes and purchased the Never Rust product, and within 30 minuets had applied it to all joints on the front cap. It stopped any water from entering and I have been thru several real down pours since. I eventually cleaned and cualked the area which apeared to be leaking.

My question is has anyone else used this product? If so was there any long term problems, i.e. Yellowing, pealing, etc? Your response would be appreciated!
  • Actually, it's Rust-Oleum NeverWet. I use it on my leather garden gloves and it works as advertised.

Does the Never Wet actually seal leaks? I thought it was a spray on type product that made gloves, cloth, etc., hydrophobic.

The OP applied it to joints that were later cleaned and caulked.
And, maybe I misunderstood the OP.
  • Yes I sprayed it on my fiberglass front cap along the seams, not one piece. It seems like there are two products, one for cloth, leather etc. the other for wood metal, etc. I used the later, and yes it apparently sealed my leak until I could clean and caulk the leak at a later time! Do you have a link to the Amazon reviews? I have not heard anything bad about this, that is why I posted here to get feed back!
