True, BUT, if you are PLUMBED for a W/D and the drain pipe is either open(most of the time) and there is no water in the p trap, then you will get odors. If you have a pre plumbed drain system for a W/D, install a plug in the top of the drain pipe after running a qt of water thru it to fill the p trap. VERY common cause of tank odors in an RV when preplumbed for a W/D and no W/D installed. EVEN a cause if a W/D is installed and no water in the P trap due to lack of use of the Washer. Doug
