I have a 40 ft RV and will be pulling a 32 ft trailer. 80 ft total lenght. Is that legal?

Probably not.
And I can tell you an overlength ticket in NJ was not cheap.
Depends on state if you can get permit.
If this was a one time move I'd go for it. Use only truck stops for getting fuel.
If not one time move I bet you get tired off pulling that around.
