Toedtoes has a good summary of the differences between GoodSam, CoachNet and AAA. There is a difference with AAA from region to region. AAA South Plus with RV allows us up to 4, 100 Mile tows to where ever we want to tow, it also offers unlimited towing within 3 miles (which is pretty useless). I do not believe our policy limits miles and cost. Meaning if we want them to tow us 900 miles, they will, but will only pay for the first 100 miles. The one time we tried to use CoachNet, we needed to be towed about 80 miles to our destination campground. They would only tow us to the nearest campground and they would not allow us to pay the difference to be towed to our destination of choice.
Also with AAA South, with AAA Plus, they will cover up to 2 wreckers for off-road extraction for 1 hour, as long as the driver can get there. If an RV can get there, most likely a wrecker can too. I've never had to use it, but it is nice knowing it is available.
One nice thing about AAA is it doesn't matter whose car needs to be towed. As long as I am there with my AAA Card, they will tow it. Another nice thing with AAA, lots of places offer AAA discounts, not just campgrounds, but restaurants, hotels, car rentals, etc. The savings from AAA discounts usually pays for it every year.
Since purchasing the motorhome, we haven't needed the RV portion of the AAA Plus RV. When we had our Hybrid TT, we used it several times. We had 2 almost 100 mile tows with TT & TV. One cost us $10 in tolls, the other was completely covered.
