RV INSURANCE

We live in New Jersey and have always been insured for RV by
American Modern Home Insurance. Were just notified that they will write policies no longer in NJ. Must find another carrier in the next 8 weeks. We have looked at Progressive and National Interstate. Anyone out there have any suggestions on good RV insurance? We are going to get an appraisal of our RV and insure for Agreed Value rather than Cash Value at time of loss, since we have only 10,000 miles on a 2006 Class A purchased new in 2006.

    I didn't know they don't insure motorhomes. Too bad! I have three cars and my tt insured by them. Probably the best insurance company out there.

    I have Geico Insurance. Insurance rates change from State to State. I was in a RV accident a runaway truck hit my coach and Geico was right on it paid all my bills for motels and RV repair and they called me everyday to check and see if everything was O.K. What I liked best is my rates didn't go up!

    I miss American Modern Ins. They left Ca two years ago. Nice company to work with on claims.

    We ended up going with Progressive. We used a broker like Miller to find the best rates, name of the company escapes me at the moment.

    X2 on the Miller insurance agency. They will do good research and can write policies from just about any insurance company you can think of, plus a few more. They advertise in about every RV magazine published. Give them a call.

    We have Victoria Insurance out of Washington state. They sponsor "Mac the Fire Guy" who conducts seminars at most rallys. First year we had GMAC through Good Sam, but they attempted to increase premium for no reason the second year and we found Victoria at a better price. Good luck.

    I have been using AAA insurance for close to 10 years. I had a bent frame on my 5th wheel a few years ago and they came through 100% and got it repaired way better than new. Also, I recently bought a 99 holiday rambler endeavor DP. Needed full coverage insurance, so I called AAA and progressive through USAA. The AAA policy is $441/year, and the progressive policy was $1200/year. Guess which one I chose.

    Although I am not a fan of Progressive, I have their RV insurance and have been pleased... reasonable rates, good claims service on the one claim I had.......
