WOW, WOW, WOW...you are doing a fine job! LOVE the trades you made to get something you need...so ingenious. You remind me of my 20 something son who always manages to get good deals and things for considerably less than asking price.
A note...look up eternabond micro sealant...for sealing those seams down the line. It is a bit pricey but if done right it lasts almost forever...you can seal screw holes with it and not worry about it for a long time. They have wide tape to cover roof seams, etc.
