As for the eternabond tape, I had read over and over again that was the best to use. But when I went to my local RV dealer, they swore by the lap sealant and didn't carry any of the eternabond products. They are a large dealer so I decided to trust in there opinion and it seems to have worked pretty good but as i am sure it will need attention in the near future I plan on using the eternabond, thanks for the advice.
The lap sealant works fine for many years. You need to have a clean surface to apply it to, but that's true of Eternabond, also. Personally, I think Eternabond is hideous.
