We have to establish a minimum time between reviews of the same park or people who are seasonal or extended-stay campers could post unlimited numbers of reviews about a park which would distort the statistics. Your specific situation was unusual, most people wouldn't normally have such a pressing need to post a second review so soon after their first one.

Ditto-X2. I've posted many reviews over the years, but it seems like my last 4-5 reviews never did get posted. I have as many "great reviews" as I do "bad reviews. I don't like surprises when I get to an RV Park....so I try to tell it like it is so the next person won't get a big surprise.

That's MY opinion.

All reviews of anything are just people's opinions unless they are just checklists. I don't know how you can avoid the fact that some people's reviews will focus on things that aren't important to you. That's why I always read the reviews themselves and don't just rely on the numerical scores. When I encounter reviews that aren't relevant to me I simply ignore them.

With all due respect, reviews on RVParkReviews are not censored. We do correct obvious spelling and grammatical errors and we reserve the right to return a review to the submitter for revision if it does not comply with site policies. Reviews are NEVER edited in a manner which would change their meaning.

The most commonly rejected type of review is one which is nothing but a recounting of a specific occurrence (a messed up reservation, a noisy neighbor, etc) without providing any additional information about the park that would be useful to others. Reviewers are welcome to post about their bad experiences, but those unfortunate circumstances may not be relevant to others. We try to ensure that all reviews have at least a bit of information useful to everyone.

As for the delays in getting reviews posted this summer, we apologize but I don't think the delay ever exceeded 10 days even when we were being swamped with them in mid-summer. I don't think too many people were seriously inconvenienced by that. We expect to bring additional volunteer admins on after we move to the new software/hardware platform.

captron33: The site is OPINIONS...and who really knows who submits them? One review of a park is a 10....the very next is a 1. Could be a nearby competing campground, yes?
Then some guys are simply not happy with anything....they themselves are miserable and demanding. Then others blame the bad weather on the campground. IMO, there is far too much said about the availability of the internet connections, when perhaps they should be outside enjoying the pool, playing golf, or even the weather!

I had a good stay at a park one time and on the way home I had a electrical problem,hot post,at that same park and they said that they were all filled and couldn't move me. There were sites all around me empty,so I asked for my money back and I'd find another place. They said that they would have to put it back on my card and it didn't go on for three weeks.I couldn't post the part about the hot post as it was inside four days.But I still use the site and appreciate it's there. I only wish that folks that stay at other campgrounds in an area would review them.

From what i've expierienced, i'm not sure this site is reliable anymore.

On the Escapees forum one of the reviewers was talking about the upgrade coming out soon. He also suggested that if you go to a RV park and post a review and 3 months later visit that park again, please post another review because there could be changes. Also, if no one keeps posting on that campground a new person will see the last old date and think it's a terrible park now or think it's out of business. So keep posting folks.

Also, please post about the campground itself - not the bad weather or a disappointing neighbor. Those things can't be helped. :)

We use it all the time, along with other resources. We toss out the best rating and the worst and go by the middle-ground for good results.

It is a great site. I use it all the time.
