RV propane water heater

Which is more efficient, cost effective during the winter (Charleston, SC so seldom below 40-50) keep the propane heater going to maintain water temp or only turn it on when we shower? We heal mosts all other water in our kettle.
  • We only turn it on when we need it. I see no since in heating water for no reason. It on takes about twenty minutes or so to heat it. JMO
  • If you are use the propane stove to heat water for cooking, and other personal needs get an electric kettle such as This One. It will boil water in a few minutes. Also an Airpot will keep water hot for hours.

Is the propane for your stove cheaper then the propane for your water heater?

  • Turn it on maybe 30 minutes before anticipated need, first thing in the morning and when you sit down for dinner if desired for after dinner clean up. If it is duel fuel (propane and electric) leave it on electric but if propane turn it on only when needed.
