Anybody ever stayed here? Looks to be a fantastic place! The DW and I are considering it for the Spring of next year.
It' the old ORA Lake Toxaway - we have stayed a couple of times when it was first opened (Maybe 5 times in the first 10 years)- it was never crowded, was always first class.
The Resort is fine, all the lots were owned or for sale - We have been in both our Gas unit and the Diesel Coach - most of the times there, we were one of the smaller coaches - most were Prevost or the like and the other times I think they were mostly Monoco's all were large. People were all friendly and the exploration of the streams and Water Falls in the area was fantastic.
They golf was fun, but not great, the area is to Die for and the sunsets were memorable. Was never hot enough to use the pool. We would usually go with friends and enjoyed it, usually for four to five days at a time. Golf Course is across the Highway - think we needed to be a guest of a member - not sure - Beautiful area.
