RV Shower Faucet

I just purchased my RV and doing upgrades to it. One of the upgrades was putting in an Oxygenics Shower Head to add more pressure. Once installed I didn't have any more pressure than before and noticed that the hole (pictured) at the faucet was leaking water causing low pressure. Is this hole normal? If so, can I plug it? I am assuming it is there to protect against leaks behind the wall. Thank you for any assistance.

  • Here is a better view of the part. Are there replacement parts online? I can't find one.

  • This hole likely is part of backflow preventive, so check for rubber flapper inside.
Most of RV have the cheapest fixtures that come on the market.
I have similiar problem on my camper, where the similiar to above valves have manifold cracks. I already replaced outside shower, but my bathroom valve has faucet/shower combo with limited countertop space. I was thinking putting thermostatic valves, that I am buying from China for $75, but those are too big to fit in the corner.
You might have more space, so see if you could do the upgrade.
