Have been to North Beach before and enjoyed it. Our site was pretty private with heavy brush and trees between sites. There were very few people there when we went so it didn't really matter.

The campground is across from the beach. When we were there in mid August, the road was pretty quiet and we easily walked across to access the beach.

It might be scenic and close to the beach.... but when we were there in October of '05 we experienced the worse mosquito infestation of anywhere we have visited in 8 years of fulltiming including the dreaded "white socks" of Alaska last summer. I received 17 bites while spending under 5 minutes hooking up the power and water. Will never go back. Any place that has the words "hammock" in the description of the vegetation of the campground is off our bucket list.

Anastasia Island SP or North Beach RV would be my first choices

Anastasia state park is really nice. Also North Beach Campground on the river is great but it's across the street from the ocean (very short walk). They have a pool (may be seasonal), and a restaurant/bar at the campground called Aunt Kate's. Also there's a restaurant across the street called The Reef and another restaurant named Caps On The Water down the road which I highly recommend (dine or sit at the outdoor bar - very nice).
