I've been using the 800 model for 4 years now, and am very happy with the system. One caveat, we're currently in AZ near Parker and the water here is VERY hard. The 800 only lasts for 3, maybe 4 days, and has to be re-generated. That's how hard the water is here... It's also very dirty. I use the 2 Micron filter and have to change it after about 3 weeks because it's almost black by then. There is a local company here that will install a huge softener tank that lasts about a month for $35. I'm calling them today...
