The optimal way to weigh your rig is four corner weigh, but that is not always possible. So I can assume you had yours weighed at a regular scale. That said, it will make it easier if you post the results on your weight ticket here. We can then help you make a better decision. You are correct in your assumption, but more info is needed.
Before taking your coach to the scale, load it as you would taking a "normal" vacation/camping trip etc. This will give you a good idea of how your weight is distributed. That way you can move some of your "stuff" from one side to the other and/or front to back to balance it out....Dennis
