I'm with "Jim@HiTek".....They're pushing their very expensive products and they want us to pay to see them. Do you pay to see furniture at a furniture store, or cars at a car lot.....of course not. Why should I pay for the privilege to see what they're selling. As stated by one poster, there are really no deals at RV shows. People always get a warm and fuzzy feeling when they think they're getting a deal because they're lousy at negotiating. Many don't have the stomach or skills for negotiating. Consequently, they can walk away from an RV show and tell everyone they got the show price......which typically means they got the shaft!
I've bought several boats, RV's and a lot of cars. Both a boat ad RV I bought while the boat/RV shows were on and got a better deal, outside the show.
