Safe T Plus steering coontrol

I have a 99 38' Monaco Windsor. I am considering putting on a Model #41-230 Safe T Plu steering control. Has anyone done this? If you have, is there an advantage to putting this on? I would appreciate any good or bad comments. HELP. Jim
  • Mine steers great and we don't get sucked in and blown out by passing trucks. Can drive with a finger if you wished. We have nothing on the front now but was also thinking about getting a safe t plus just in case of a blow out.
  • Added the SteerSafe on my F53.
It was the first handling upgrade that I made.
It was a good addition, made steering much easier, plus added protection in blow-out situations.
Followed this with bilstein shocks and a Rear Trac Bar.
    Comfortable one hand driving now!
Still waiting to try the F53 cheap handling fix.
  • Installed a Safe-T-Plus on my 98 Safari Serengeti 38 ft unit because I wanted the protection in case of a front tire blow out. However, as a side benefit, it improved the steering by reducing the small inputs from the steering wheel making the coach much easier to drive.
I am very happy with the unit and feel it is well worth the price. I hope I never have to test its effictiveness in event of a blow out!!!
  • We have the Saf-T-Plus on our 2000 Monaco gas coach. Also did the Ford F53 cheap fix. Both helped, but the cheap fix made the most difference.
  • Have the safe-t-plus on a 2001 36ft DP. Definitely made it easier to drive. Not so many small adjustments of the steering wheel while moving down the road.
Wasn't a night and day issue but made it much less tiring to drive and handle.

Would do it again with no qualms.
  • I had horrible steering control on my 30' Monaco some years ago. I had the Junction ?City Camping world instal a Steer-Safe steering stabilizer and it was like going from night to day! However no guarantees this would work as well for you as there could be other suspension issues going on. If I had to do it over then, I would have gone with the Safe-T-Plus also simply because of its more elegant design.....but they both do the same thing.
