Nice park with not a lot of extras, but shoppig and restaurants within walking distance. BART station in Pleasanton if you don't want to drive into the city. As a plus, Livermore, 20 minutes away, has developed into quite a wine tasting area. As nice as Napa but much more relaxed.
Last year they added a RV parts store, and this year they built a brand new restroom/shower laundry facility. We used to live in Pleasanton and stay there two or three times a year when we visit. My step daughter lives in Alameda so it's an easy BART trip for my DW to visit her or vice versa.
