Santa Rosa New Mexico to Deming on 54 to 26
Anyone try that route through Alamogordo instead of going to I-25 and down? Looks like less miles but if not a good road and lot's of slow down it may be slower than just staying on Interstate.

Great road, easy drive. There's a Space Museum in Alamagordo, and don't miss the White Sands National Monument....we go that way if the weather goes south in the northern routes......Dennis
