There are several reasons a Sat system might not work.
Radar Detectors (Some makes) can cause broadband Radio Interference (Perhaps the manager has one in his car?) shadow of trees or buildings... I get blamed from time to time but I'm 100% sure that it's not my antenna or radio. (Mostly because I get blamed for causing interference when I'm not even ON the radio).
Sometimes moving a few feet makes a difference.
There is a app for your smart phone (Search for Sat Finder) that will let you "Look" toward the satellite.. You see anything other than blue sky on the screen, that's your problem (Make sure you center the cross hairs)
Or you can use an Align-a-Site to do it as well.
