Satellite Radio Antenna Placement on a Class C

Does anyone here have experience placing the ‘pill box’ antenna on a Class C motorhome? I have been using an XM Satellite Radio Module in my truck with the antenna placed on the center of the dash ...

I caulked a square of magnetic metal to the top of the fridge vent and snaked the wire up through the vent. On a previous unit I made a little steel bracket to hold the antenna just under a crank-up plastic vent dome.
