If you have a smart phone all you need is a $20 app and a WiFi or Bluetooth OBDII dongle (wireless connector) $20. I have one with my Iphone and my new tablet. it gives way more info than the Scan Gauge. I really like how it works. for $40 it works great!
I am using an APP called Dash Command, you can get it from the Apple App store or Googe play app store. there are other versions such as Torque app. these are the only 2 good apps. there are others, but they are not as good.
And if you don't have a smart phone, you can get one at Wallyworld for $30 (straight talk phone) and get the elm dongle and Torque app and be up and running for less than $50. Yoiu don't need service, just take the phone to where there is WiFi and set it up.
