I have the ScanGauge and use it to continuously monitor my charging voltage, my air/fuel ratio, my coolant temperature, and my transmission fluid temperature. My dash already has a digital readout of my oil pressure.
I figure that by monitoring these things on a continuous basis, I can tell if anything is going wrong with my charging, cooling or fuel system. The gauge is mounted high on my dash and is easy to monitor as I drive down the road.
It also has the advantage of immediately storing a fault code if something fails and it allows me to reset the codes if I need to.
X2 I monitor Oil pressure, water temp, trans temp, current MPG. SG will monitor 16 parameters. Thanks.
