I have a scan gauge, but if I were to repeat, I would investigate the various apps for smartphones.
Do any of those apps allow you to be connected full time and monitor several parameters without any input from you? Just asking for my own education what you have to do with a phone app. Do you have to hold the phone and type in what you want while you are driving or is all of this done automatically and continuously?
Yes you can set each screen up with up to six gauges of anything you want, but on a smart phone it is small to read with 6 gauges. I set mine up with 2 gauges per page so I can scroll through to see what I want. You can have any gauge you want. It's all up to what your particular need is.
Thank you for the info. So let me understand, to monitor the six different gauges, you have to scroll through the various pages with your phone while you are driving. If you have something that is going out of range does that mean that you won't know it until you scroll to the page where that particular item is being monitored?
This sort of sounds like you basically have to manually update things with your phone to be able to see a problem developing.
